The topmost part of the hill known as Upallo Kot (Upper Fort – 1522 m.) is an attractive sightseeing hill with a tower from where Fulchoki hill, one of the hills that surrounds the Kathmandu Valley, can be viewed. Additionally, the hill commands a breathtaking view of the Himalayan range, beautiful scenes of villages and hamlets, fascinating scenes of green Daraudi valley, etc. It is said that king Ram Shah’s palace was situated here sometime in the past. According to the historians, the palace was later built at the famous Gorkha hill. On the way to the top of the hills lies the temple of Bhairav, the god of power; and a statue of bajrabarahi with the inscriptions of Lichchhavi period.
